BAMRR.
More Than A
Membership Website.
A complete digital redevelopment for the British Association of MR Radiographers, bringing membership, events, ecommerce, organisational accounts, protected resources and purpose-built administration into one connected platform.
Supporting the MRI community.
Membership, professional resources, education, courses and conferences in one digital environment.
Building an operational platform around the organisation.
BAMRR required considerably more than a visual website refresh. The redevelopment needed to support members, organisations, courses, conferences, payments, protected professional resources and the administrative processes behind them.
Years of information. Multiple workflows. One simpler experience.
The existing digital environment contained membership records, organisational relationships, events and professional resources that needed to be preserved while the user experience was completely rethought.
The challenge was not simply moving content. PixelArc needed to create a structure capable of supporting BAMRR's existing activity while making future administration easier for people who should not need technical knowledge to operate the website.
Designed around the way BAMRR memberships actually work.
Rather than treating every member in exactly the same way, the platform supports individual membership alongside organisational and corporate membership structures.
Individual Membership
A redesigned member experience gives members clearer access to their account, membership information and protected professional resources.
Organisational Membership
Legacy organisation records were reconstructed into a structured administrative environment designed for easier ongoing management.
Corporate Groups
Group-based membership functionality allows participating organisations to manage multiple users within the wider BAMRR platform.
New events without rebuilding the workflow every time.
PixelArc developed a repeatable event creation system so administrators can start from a controlled booking model rather than manually rebuilding the purchasing and membership configuration for each new event.
This helps reduce setup time and lowers the risk of old dates, descriptions, pricing or event-specific content being unintentionally reused.
From event setup to confirmed booking.
The system connects the public booking journey with the administrative records behind it, while retaining the ecommerce order as the underlying commercial record.
Create
Administrator starts from the appropriate event model.
Publish
Event-specific content, availability and information are added.
Book
Attendees use the correct member, non-member or student route.
Manage
Administrators review bookings, places and confirmation status.
A booking register built around real orders.
BAMRR administrators can view operational booking information for eligible courses and conferences without needing to manually reconcile unrelated systems.
Orders & Places
Booking orders are displayed alongside the actual number of places represented by those purchases.
Exportable Records
Structured event booking information can be exported for practical event administration.
Confirmation Management
Relevant event communications and confirmation status form part of the operational booking workflow.
Powerful behind the scenes. Simpler for day-to-day users.
A platform can contain sophisticated functionality without forcing every administrator to become a developer.
PixelArc created a streamlined administrative experience focused on the tools BAMRR's website administrators actually need for normal content, membership, course, conference and resource management.
More sensitive technical configuration remains separated from routine administration, helping reduce clutter and the risk of accidental changes.
Financial records without manually rebuilding the page.
A dedicated document-management workflow allows authorised administrators to add financial account documents using structured fields instead of editing hard-coded website links.
The member-facing library can then organise relevant documents automatically, while protected access is applied where appropriate.
Membership, events, sponsorship and payments in one environment.
The ecommerce layer supports more than a conventional shop. It forms part of the wider membership, event and administrative workflow.
Structured content for a professional membership organisation.
Dedicated resource areas allow BAMRR to organise professional and member-focused information in a way that can continue to grow without turning individual pages into manually maintained lists of links.
Resource Library
Structured resources presented within a consistent BAMRR member experience.
Protected Access
Relevant professional content can be limited to users with the appropriate membership access.
Expandable Structure
Additional resources can be added without redesigning the entire section.
One visual language across many different systems.
The redevelopment was designed to prevent the website from feeling like a collection of unrelated third-party tools. Membership, events, resources, news, ecommerce and account areas share a consistent visual direction and responsive behaviour.
Membership
Clearer member account and access journeys.
Courses & Conferences
Consistent event presentation and purchasing experience.
Resources
Structured professional content and member libraries.
News & Events
Modern editorial presentation throughout the site.
Ecommerce
Refined basket, checkout and payment experiences.
Administration
Purpose-focused tools for everyday operational tasks.
One website. Multiple operational systems.
The result is a connected digital environment where public content, membership services, ecommerce and administration can operate as parts of the same platform.
The goal wasn't to make BAMRR fit around a website. It was to build the website around the way BAMRR works.
Need more than just a website?
PixelArc designs digital platforms around the way organisations actually operate — from memberships and bookings to ecommerce, protected resources and bespoke administrative workflows.
